My work has been primarily with individuals who have been marginalized or felt marginalized due to personal trauma history, sexual identity, financial disparity, drug use and addiction, and/or unsatisfying relationships—whether personal or professional. Their goal is to be made whole by eliminating the cycle of negative self-talk and problem behaviors.
A trauma-informed psychotherapist, I have extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQ and other marginalized populations. Rather than pathologize behavior, I encourage and help clients to access, express, and fully process feelings surrounding their familial and personal relationships, sexual identity, HIV status, and personal trauma history.
To be heard and listened to. To believe and to trust in the power of change. Through my own professional and personal experiences I have been successful in providing a therapeutic relationship that has led to increased self awareness, acceptance and a more fulfilling life.
